Blue Sky 14 Mile Run

February 7th, 2004, by Rich.

With blue skies and a not too strong south-westerly blowing, this was a much nicer run than last Saturday. 2 hours from start to finish and 14 miles covered.

I also tried out two new things…

  1. Running with a bottle, which was very successful, and meant I was able to top up on isotonic drinks all the way round - not so important for 13 miles but for 26 your body needs to be used to both (a) running and (b) refueling on the go.
  2. Jelly Babies, as recommended by Runners World, also fit in the pouch on my waistband, most people enjoyed these as we went through a stile on the harbour.

Have your say...
