Asics: Space Shoes

I have a lot of time for the products of Japanese shoe company Asics; I wore out two pairs of their shoes when training for the London Marathon and they managed to keep my feet in fairly good shape throughout. More…

Clarendon Way Relay Marathon

October 5th, 2004, by Rich, in Running.

Last weekend we took part in the Clarendon Way Relay Marathon - this was a bit diffferent to the norm in that it was a mostly off road event, with lots of hills. The event is run as a marathon, a half marathon, and a relay marathon where four people each take on a leg of the 26 miles. More…

The New Forest Half Marathon

September 19th, 2004, by Rich, in Running.

The auction was due to end at 12:03 and at 11:41 it leapt up to £115, which pleased us no end. More…

The penultimate pre-marathon run

April 13th, 2004, by Rich, in Distance Training.

The penultimate pre-marathon run

The club organised a little 5 mile road race tonight (for everyone to run at their own pace). A proper race, with marshals, and numbers etc. Perfectly timed to give everyone experience of running in a real race, rather than just as a club, so that the Marathon won’t be so different.
