Works great after some earlier beta problems (hey, thats what betas are for). Google Talk with its very easy - call someone else on Google Talk Now - type one click feature and efective sound use is now very much a competitor in the world of online voice and probably video phone type communications, up until now, dominated by a succession of short and long-lived kings - Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, MSN Messenger etc. Me and several friends spent some time talking to each other around the home/small office LAN and WLan network, using Google Talk as a intercom like device..oh the fun..ahhh!

I suggest you try it for a week, but make sure you add some friends whom you can press that green telephone like icon to chat to, just like you could/would with traditional 'free ' local calls that are operated by some countries telephone services i.e. NZ (Canada ?). You even get the ringing sound as they dcide whether to answer or not and at there end they get a nice soft yet alert ringing like a traditional phone (but PC sound synthesised..so oh so much wider sound than you're average home phone's ring).

Okay, try it. It's 'free'.
