Koralcrete Swimming Pool
October 12th, 2005, by Rich.
Has anyone else used Koralcrete? Korakcrete is a two-layer spray-on swimming-pool coating.
When Boakes senior (aka Dad) dug himself a pool in the back yard last year, he selected Koralcrete for the lining because it’s visually stunning (and everyone who’s visited has been thoroughly impressed by its inviting lustrous qualities).
Whilst the pool looks incredible, the lining doesn’t operate quite as well as it should, so it’s had to be re-coated several times. Each time the bottom has flaked off and the walls have stained a darker colour.
Today Dad described a new thumbnail-sized hole that had appeared on the bottom of the pool, which from experience, is an indicator that it’s the beginning of the end for this current coat. Cue what will be (I think) the fourth re-spray in less than 18 months.
I get the impression it’s a rather new product (because Googling returns only three matches). So I wonder if anyone else has tried Millenacote’s Koralcrete with more (or similar) success?
