It was a shame that Curt died. When it happened I was distrott,. In fact at that time I was heavilly into using “H” at that time, but I did’nt,man. I knew it was the miserable state I was in, thinking I could never get clean or did I really want to. Man, only if he gave himself a chance , at least for his little girl. Man, to think that he left her with Courtney, was really selfish. I look back & think it was such a short time ago & what it would be like musically if he was still alive. The music we have today really sucks, man. Thank god for green Day. Curt would have been my age now , it still I don,t know, Man we lost a trure hamanist, 7 artist

hi everyone, interesting to hear everyones opinions on here!. Although i was fairly young and naive about music when kurt was hitting the big time, i believe its still possible for people of my generation, (I’m 22) To realize and appreciate how great cobain actualy was. And yes its possible to say his fame and legacy has only been sustained for soo long because of the dramatic way he passed on, though i think if he was still with us today (Probably banged up in a mental assylum as an effect of too much heroin and acid) The real musicians and music lovers the world over would still understand the invaluable contribution to music he made. Not only was it his music that impacted the lives of so many people but what he stood for, his post hardcore, out of the box dress sense and obvious relation to 70′s f*ck the system lifestyle previosly only reputably seen by the sex pistols. He set a whole generation (and many more to come) free from the conventional stylings of traditional america. anyone, i mean anyone wether white, black, young, old, girl, boy or whatever else can never truly say kurt cobain has never influenced something about them in one way or another, maybe music, clothing style, attitude, etc..
I think kurt has been one of the greatest contributers to human existence and say F*ck you to anyone that believes otherwise!

screw all the people with discrimitive comments, you are the reason why people kill themselves. are you so blind-sighted that you cant see this SHIT ?!? Why look down on someone who enjoys listening to a certain type of music ? or making a certain type of music ? everyone cant listen to ac/dc or 50 cent or led or MCR (my chemical romance) or beethoven. simple minded self-righteous loathing individuals who need to put other people down, for teir own benefit are the real posers. slaves to the mainstream, and pranking on anyone with any form of other tribute. Get a life.. and if you dont like kurt.. or care about him.. why go around looking for sites made for him ???

Kurt Cobain reminds me of Princess Diana. Two people who died whilst being famous and wealthy who have spawned a whole generation of self-pitying emos whining about how they are a unique snowflake that no one understands. For that reason, I wish they were both still alive.

When he died in 1994 I was young but not too young to remember him. I was just too sheltered and didn’t listen to anything but classical music and oldies, haha.Oh and by the way he didn’t kill himself all of the FACTS point to murder and if you (and I’m directing this to the collective you, but more importantly to anyone who actually believes he shot himself) have any commensense whatsoever you can put two and two together and realize that.

Tomorrow Tuesday 20th Feb would have been Kurts 40th Birthday! Hes been gone from this world for 13 years now.
Theres not a day goes by without a thought for Kurt.
I hope evryone who loved him and still does, lights a candle and remembers what a kind, beautiful and talented person he was. He is someone i looked up to and was inspired by and am still deeply sadend when i think of how lonely and tormented he felt. I hope he is in a better place now..i’m sure he would have been a great father..Rest in peace Kurt..We love you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Read it again. I don’t say they’re not genuinely touched: the semi-punctuated outpourings, the flash feuds and the declarations of eternal solidarity and love for a dead man are more than proof of that. Cobain’s got a small army of juveniles prostrating themselves at his altar years after he was cremated, which is intreguing, hence the above article.

Yep, you’re right…he’s still dead! But I was old enough to have gotten into Nirvana when Kurt was alive and grunge was all the rage. And even if these kids weren’t, don’t be a prong by saying that they cannot be genuinely touched by a movement of the past. You’re doing the exact same thing adults did to you when you were these kids’ age.

BTW: Kurt was an egomaniac who intentionally lied to journalists in order to show a favorable opinion of himself–he WANTED fame and recognition. Most, if not ALL the feelings and love I ever HAD for the man were all based on lies. He was a cold-hearted, wicked individual who wanted to die. I’m sure he regrets his choices in life…
