if you want try Songbird (media player, it is by mozilla)
it can view websites and supports add-ons like firefox… there are add-ons for guitar tabs and lyrics and others… try it

You should look up guitarpro or powertab. They play midi versions of the songs and color highlight the notes as they come up.

I like guitarpro a majority of the time, but if you play a lot of metal you might like powertab more. Only because powertab is just better designed for switching between distortion/clean without needing a separate guitar added to the page.
