also, you have to wonder why anyone who wasn't having problems with a company would dream of googling for problems with that company, they wouldn't be in your mind at all, why on earth are they looking at this thread?

Ask for the money man Jeff Longstaff at homefix a girl called Alison tells me he is the owner, they signed up my Sister and i had a major problem getting through to them. They advertise 25 lines or something silly, more like a back room behind a fruit shop with one person making money. Steer clear!!

I also had a call from the homefix outfit offering not only a warranty on my freesat equipment but also they could cover me for emergency home cover. I took the number given called back and had a very interesting conversation with a girl called Nic who informed me that they were a new company and that they had had loads of complaints about the Satelite warranty's so they were going to stop doing them, and that i should stay clear of them covering my freesat box. I found this strange that a girl answering the phone should say this but upon questioning her she told me that she covered a reception in a business centre and didn't work for Homefix. Lesson learned don't mess with the receptionist!!

I've had a payment come up in my bank statement for £85.00 to SATELLITECARE, don't have a clue who it is, I traced through my bank that the payment was done at 1pm this week, and I was working at the time, luckily I have managed to cancel my card and my bank is tracing the transaction, luckily I will get the money back.
This is the first something like this has happened and it's very un-nerving. But hey they won't like the repercussion and I'm not talking about the law.

That's encouraging. You might (however) want to be concerned that your assertion could be better received (i.e. people might believe it) if you provided an email address or any form of identification beyond the cryptic and vague moniker of "James". If you're related to the company, and would like to provide contact details, do so - consider it a fee advert. If folks can't get hold of you, then they'll no doubt reply to your message.

I was tricked into giving my credit card number over the telephone and been wrongly sold a warranty that is no use, the sales person made it seem as if she was calling from Sky and that my warranty on my digi box had expired. I have since found that my warranty has not expired and they are not Sky. Furthermore I have a great deal of trouble reaching them on the telephone, I can only assume that they are running some kind of telephone credit card scam. The company is Satellite Services, the T&C's are two pages long, It's a con!

I have had trouble contacing Satelite & home care all day today ( 08716 419910 and 0800 3288022. Unit G, Heath Place. Bersted, Bognor Regis. West Sussex. PO22 9SL ), all options go straight to an answering service, my advice finish up with them now, Also to Mrs Wilkinson, the advice i was given through Barclays, just canceling your card does not work, they still managed to link it to your new card number. Ask your bank to send notification thru to them and any payments they request after 31 days of your bank processing the forms will be suspended.

Another company running a scam on the lines of warranty about to run out, we are covering Sky's warranties etc. Home Fix Satellite Care. Alleged phone no. of 01642 677799. 'Bobby' rang me today at 5 to 5, dreadful rush, warranty about to run out, just been notified by Sky, panic panic... I said I would speak to Sky first. Spoke to Sky and they of course knew nothing. I have not rung them back.

Hi

I have had a similar experience today. Just noticed that the direct debit that I cancelled in January had been paid out again in April and again today. I have sopken to my bank and they have cancelled the direct debit and put a block on their originator number so that they cannot at any time in the future access my account today. They also gave me the phone number of 01515475251. However when I called there the gentleman that answered apologised said that the bank was giving out the wrong number and the one that I should call was identical except for the last digit which was a zero. When I called it rang out to a recorded message saying that it was not possible to take the call and you could not leave a message and to phone back later.

NEVER EVER EVER use this company they are totally bogus..... the address given by the bank was Unit 5, Capitol Trading Park, Kirby Bank Road, Liverpool, L33 7SY

Hope this helps
