Thirty one years ago, my grandfather, thought it might be interesting to fix his cine camera to the outside of his car, and go for a drive from his home in Wimmerfield Crescent, down to Sketty and back.
My Grandparents took a lot of photos in their lifetime, and I think I’ve got most of them.
One of my old colleagues was lucky enough to get a job as an extra on Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Now that’s just not fair.
Dad sent me some pictures of his new place in Australia (Queensland) today – it’s exactly a year since they went out there and in that time they’ve found the plot, found an architect and a builder, and got the place built, so they’ve been busy.

I (we) visited Poland last week and must confess that I knew nothing about the place before I went, apart from the fact that it’s just become an EU member, which meant there were no visas needed.
Whilst in Poland we visited several of the Nazi Concentration Camps, including Oświęcim (Auschwitz I), Birkenau (Auschwitz II ) and Płasz?w. These are the photos we took at those camps.
This is the site of the PÅ‚aszów concentration camp (phonetically pw-ash-ov) which lies 20 minutes walk south of central Krakow. A set based on the camp’s plans was reconstructed and featured extensively in the movie Schindler’s List. To the right of the panorama is a villa used by the camp’s commander, Amon Göth.
Schindler’s factory still stands today.
