Can everybody please stop sending me Thresher Discount vouchers? Ok thanks for thinking of me, I very much appreciate that bit; but it seems everyone I know is intent on passing me this little “under the counter number” and hasn’t twigged that they’re just part of a huge viral advertising campaign.

In case you’ve not received the voucher, I’ll explain. It’s a PDF file that you write your name on and present at your local Thresher shop, where you will be granted a hefty discount. The voucher looks a bit like the one above (click to see it full size).

Thresher’s big mistake, is not the wine of course – they make a profit on that – it’s the similar offer on beer, snacks and fags that is going to cost them, because of the high duty to be paid on cigarettes, obviously.
