Wedding Art

January 20th, 2005, by Rich.

The cake-person needs a copy of the image we’ve used for invitations, so I thought I’d post it here, along with a proper credit.

It was originally drawn by Sam Brown, and was one of the first exploding dog, pictures we saw.

It’s one of Sam’s older images, which are of lower quality, so it needed a little touching up. To achieve this I redrew it and made a few modifications so that it fitted in with our colour theme. This version has been created and used in accordance with Sam’s licensing rules and may be reused in kind.

We can dance together.

Hi Joe, you’ll need to contact the original artist (Sam Brown) with this request. What you see here is a modification of his original drawing (which Sam is happy to license for personal, not for profit, or educational uses, however…

The license/answers document (linked in the original article) is quite specific when asked “can i make my own t-shirts?“. It says “sure. if you want to make some t-shirts of drawings feel free. as long as you are not trying to sell them or use them to advertise for your company, i don’t mind.“.

So if you’re going to sell them, you’ll first need to contact Sam to get permission to use the original design. Contact details can be foudn at the bottom of the same document.
